Biography:
Theatre, Television, Film & Radio: 1972-1975
part of Anita's early Biography was researched and
compiled by Steven Burbridge for which he must be credited for.
1972/73: "The Spirit of the Lonely Mountain" in
'The Saga of Sir Singalot' A Christmas Show for children at The Forum
Theatre, Billingham,. Described as an exciting tale of mystery and magic set
in a weird and wonderful land.
1973: Joined The Glasgow Citzens' Theatre Company for
seventeen months and during the first half of the season did a great deal of
experimental work at the Close Theatre namely:-
"Hello Dolly" ,
'Chorus' in "Tamburlaine The Great" in the main Theatre.
'Mariane' in Tartuffe" by Moliere in the Main Theatre.
'Ann' in "The Father" a project based on August
Strindberg's play, in the The Close Theatre.
'Bette' in "The Connection" by Jack Gelber, in the Close
Theatre.
'Kate' in "Old Times" by Harold Pinter, at the Belgrade
Theatre, Coventry.
'Alice' in "Arden of Faversham" in the Main Theatre.
Played one of the three witches in a rock version of "Macbeth" by
William Shakespeare in The Main Theatre.
'Stella' in "The Collection" by Harold Pinter, in the Main
Theatre.
'The Woman' in "A Slight Ache" by Harold Pinter,
in The Main Theatre
'The Nurse in "Eva Peron". One of "The Four Twins". Both
productions staged at the Theatre at New End, Hampstead and the Traverse
Theatre, Edinburgh.
1974/75: 'Baby Jill' in "Babes in the Wood"
at the Palace Theatre, Watford.
1975: 'Elsie Gow' in "Fumed Oak"
''Walters' in "Hands Across the Sea"
Both parts for "Tonight at 8.00" at the Palace Theatre, Watford.
One of 'The Andrews Sisters', 'Miss Hotchkiss', 'Maudie',
'A Factory Girl' and 'Carmen Miranda' in "Happy as a
Sandbag" at the Palace Theatre, Watford.
Played the parts of 'Clara Bow', 'Margaret Dumont', 'Joan Fontaine', 'Dolores Del Rio', 'Cheryl
Turner' and 'Elizabeth Taylor' in the musical "Hello
Hollywood, Hello" at the Palace Theatre, Watford.
'Ada' in "Ardele" at the New Theatre, Oxford, The Theatre
Royal, Brighton and The Queens' Theatre, London.
'Normaline Dizzet' in "Murder On The Metropolitan Line" at
the Little Theatre. |
