2007 15 July ... for one day only, Anita gave a talk to an audience of her career to date and her personal life and answered questions at the Age Exchange Theatre, Reminiscence Centre in Blackheath entitled - Theatre Memories - Sunday at the Old Bakehouse. 2nd August .. Anita made a guest appearance on ITV1 'Loose Women' to talk of her forthcoming appearance in 'Hotel Babylon' 1st September ... Film and Comic Con website: www.londonfilmandcomiccon.com - Anita spent the day here at this event, signing autographs and photographic sessions which was a huge success! 3rd November ... Anita made a surprise visit to see & give support to Letitia Dean (remember.. Anita played the part of Angie Sharon's (Letitia) mum in EastEnders) whilst Letitia was in rehearsals for BBC1's 'Strictly Come Dancing'. 15th November ... Anita was a guest on BBC1's 'The One Show' to talk of her forthcoming Christmas show 'Santa Claus-The Musical' and 'Hello Dolly' which starts touring the UK from beginning of February 2008. 27 November ... Anita was a guest on Channel 5 the 'Wright Stuff'. 3 December ... Radio - Anita joined the cast 'Silver Street' the daily soap which is broadcast on the Asian Network. 7-30 December ..Theatre, Anita played the Ice Queen in "Santa Claus-The Musical" at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham 2008 - Hello, Dolly! Which was on an extensive UK Tour from the 1st February through to 23rd August, Anita played the lead character of Dolly Levi, where, during this incredible journey of 26 venues (inclusive of 2 weeks in Jersey) she acted, sang and danced her way through 235 performances. And now, Anita has put her own stamp on the character and is up there amongst the great names who have played Dolly Levi on the stage this and the other side of the Atlantic include:- Ginger Rogers, Pearl Bailey, Ethel Merman, Carol Channing, Dora Bryan and believe it or not ... Danny La Rue and who could forget Barbra Streisand in the film version. BBC1 2nd episode of 3rd series of 'Hotel Babylon' screened 26 February LBC (London Radio Show) Guest - in conversation with Steve Allen. Saturday 26 April (see Press page to listen to this interview) BBC Radio2 (Sunday 4 May) Guest on Elaine Paige Sunday Show. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2009 4 July, Saturday - BBC1 "Casualty" Anita was the guest star and played the part of a physic named 'Cora' for one episode only Sunday 12 July - BBC Radio London, Anita was the guest on the Lesley Joseph show. Sunday 9 August - BBC Radio2, Michael Ball's special guest talking of 'Calendar Girls'. Wednesday 26 August - Channel 5 Anita was guest of the day and panellist on Matthew Wright's show 'The Wright Stuff'. Wednesday 02 September ITV1 "This Morning" Anita was a guest on this ever popular daytime show along with June Brown, Jerry Hall, Jill Baker, Jill Halfpenny and Sara Crowe who all help to make up the "Calendar Girls". Tuesday July - Calendar Girls ( 2nd new cast) including Anita who took over the lead Chris, opened at The Noel Coward Theatre in St. Martin's Lane, London for a limited period of 3 months finishing on 31 October. (Third new cast took over on 3rd November 2009).
